1. Data we collect
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow collects only the minimum necessary personal data from participants: full name, date of birth, school affiliation, contact email, and team role. Project submissions (video, brief, prototype images) are stored securely.
For participants under 18, we require verified consent from a parent, guardian, or school representative. No payment information is collected.
2. How we use it
Personal data is used to administer the programme (team formation, judging, prize delivery), to verify eligibility, and to communicate deadlines. Aggregated, de-identified statistics are shared with our partners for research on educational innovation.
Samsung does not sell personal data. Project submissions may be published on this site with explicit team consent — you can revoke consent at any time.
3. Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy.latam@samsung.com. Requests are processed within 30 days in accordance with local data-protection laws (LGPD Brazil, Ley 25.326 Argentina, etc.).
4. Retention
Participant data is retained for the duration of the edition plus five years, after which it is anonymised or deleted. Finalist project metadata is retained indefinitely as part of the programme's public archive, unless the team requests removal.
